Pastoral Care Team
This caring and dedicated group of trained lay leaders supports the pastoral staff by providing care and support for those who are hospitalized, home-bound, in a care facility, or in need of extra support. Contact: Barb Dodson at dodsonb40@gmail.com.
Card and Encouragement Ministry
This ministry encourages others through cards. Cards are sent to those who need a caring word and a reminder of God’s love. All materials, including cards, envelopes, addresses, and postage, are provided. Contact: Kim Fathauer at kim.fathauer@stonybrook.church.
Stephen Ministers are a part of a distinctively Christian, worldwide, lay, one-to-one caring ministry; where men are paired with men and women with women to provide confidential care. Stephen Ministers receive 50 hours of training in listening skills and how to provide compassionate care to help them “walk alongside” individuals who are going through life stress or crisis and request to be in a caring relationship. Stephen Ministers meet regularly for peer supervision, where the caring relationships are kept strictly confidential. Contact: Pastor David Hoffman, david.hoffman@stonybrook.church
Knit and Crochet Group
The knit and crochet group creates baptism hankies, blankets, prayer shawls, and lap robes. These gifts are presented to those being baptized, those in the hospital, and others in need of care and prayer. All skill levels are invited. Help and supplies are cheerfully available! Newborn Ministry
The Newborn Ministry celebrates new babies born or adopted by offering a meal for the family and a gift that includes a homemade blanket from the Knit and Crochet Ministry. Contact: Lori Motzer at jlmotzer@gmail.com.
Prayer Ministry
Prayer is vital to the Christian life. Consider joining a Prayer Team to help grow as the body of Christ by lifting praise to God in a common voice. Contact: Rayann Milum at wmilum@netzero.net.
Youth Prayer Ministry
The Youth Prayer Ministry is a group that prays for the Stonybrook youth and their leaders on a regular basis. This ministry team prays over the youth prayer journals and writes prayers of response. Contact: Rayann Milum at wmilum@netzero.net.

College Care
This ministry team helps to support Stonybrook college students through cards and care packages. Opportunities to serve include donating items for care packages, stamps, money, and assembling the care packages. Contact: Jason Sheldon at jason.sheldon@stonybrook.church.
